The Manila Pub Crawl Experience

Can i get a MANILAAAAAAAA... PUB CRAWWWWWLLLL!!!!!!!!
And in the tradition of I-just-really-have-to-do-it (to support my motto that life is just too short), presenting a night out in Manila like no other: the Manila Pub Crawl Experience (QC Edition).

The Pub Crawl shirts ready for action.
"Crawling" the Filipino way: the Pub Crawl Jeepney

The brainchild of Oliver Kรถllner and his Council of Awesome, the pub crawl experience (in my opinion) is the fulfillment of a mission to make sure that no one stays sober over the weekend.  And my, how good these people are in fulfilling just that.

Me and the Big Bad Wolf
Sashaying with DJ
The Captains of Cool will show you how it's done

My friend Lois of We Are Sole Sisters was right, this was as much fun as the tubing in Vang Vieng.  In the first place, that was what convinced me to just.be.there.  And so, to briefly summarize what to expect in a night of crazy fun, here my reasons why I loved the Manila Pub Crawl (and why I will definitely do this all over again):

#5 A time to lose one's inhibitions.  Yes, somebody made out with somebody at some point during the night (mission accomplished!). Somebody grooved to the pole.  I did body shots on the stage in the hopes of winning a bottle of Bacardi (we lost, but whatever).  The partying, the booze, the people - have come together to create a perfect atmosphere to just do whatever you want to do (as long as it's legal).  Bring.it.on.

I think this was the point where Rohan goes: I'm going to kiss you on the lips.
Yeah, baby!
Taking jeepney parties to a whole new level.

#4 Party like a VIP in not just one but five clubs.  You don't just crawl-to-the-pub, you crawl-to-the-pub in style.  Wait! You-craw-to-five-clubs-in-style.  "Nuf said.

We went to Prime...

...and G.E.B. among others.
Beer pong at En Route.

#3 Virtually free and/or cheap booze.  In my case, I won my pass to my first pub crawl experience so I joined this band of merry men for free.  But for everybody else, to get shots at every bar (and every 30 minutes or so), buy drinks for two at Php100; plus the VIP treatment, hopping from one bar to another in the party jeep, and enjoying the company of new friends, paying Php690 (as of press time) is dirt-cheap.  This awesome team also give out free passes from time to time, just check our their website www.pubcrawl.ph.

There was champagne...

...shots of only God knows what...

...Php50 drinks that make you do yoga poses...

...and whatever Josh is drinking.  Can we have some?

#2 A chance to meet new friends who are as crazy as you are.  Or not. It depends whether you'd really like to keep in your friend list a guy you just made out with for no apparent reason.  Well, in my case, we were trying to win a game.  Plus, Rohan was nice (we're Facebook friends now).

Spotted: actress Julia Clarete having the time of her life.
High-school best friends Marlo, Mars and me!

Of course I'd be friends with Rohan. ;)

#1 Because being sober is overrated.  These are one of those times when there is no where to go but get wasted (Disclaimer: please make sure you take of yourself and get home safely).  Just be prepared for an epic hang-over the day after.

And this was BEFORE we actually got drunk.

This means what, exactly?
WE.WANT.MORE!
